Mainly finger style solo guitar improvisations inspired by Australian Aboriginal art and the circular compositions of Moondog. I spent almost two years touring Australia with a circus where I played the character Moondog. In that period of time I studied Aboriginal art and of course the music of Moondog who was a blind music eccentric street musician in NYC in the 1950s and 60s. There is a circular element to his music and also a circular element to traditional Aboriginal art. On this recording I seek to honor that circular element with mainly finger style guitar technique and unfolding atonal yet melodic ideas. These are all one take tracks recorded in Brooklyn NY by Colby Devereux at Copperfish Studios.
